Reflection

For my first practice interviews i worked with Nan and Rashim.  I learned alot from both of them.  we talked lots about there familes and how they stayed together and took care eachother. we talked lots about what kind of things they did back home for fun. we talked about how there education went in there country. we talked about why they came to america and why they came to st cloud MN.  we also talked about what there major was here and what there plans were after graduation.  i think that the communction between us was a little rocky in the beging but when we got to know eachother better things went real smoothly. we had good Flow of questions and answers. some times we had trouble with not knowing certain words but we got past that just fine. These inteviews really intrested me and helped me learn alot anbouit the person their culture and their country. i enjoyed it alot and am looking forward to doing some more and learning some more. i think that this kind of thing should happen alot more becasue we all think we are so diffrent but really we have alot of things in common. These practice interviews really helped prepare me for my real interviews. i learned how to break the ice and how to keep the conversation flowing. i also learned certain subjects to stay away from and learned some subjects to focus on. I also learned how to be real slow and make sure we both understand eachother very well. In my practice interview I kinda just talked back and fourth not so much asking questions but this made things a lot more comfortable and not so formal. So I now have had some interviewing experience and I am now ready to go do my real interviews.

1. find a international student, 2. ask if they would like to take part in interview. 3 explain what the whole thing is about and for 3  find when a good time to meet it 4 find a good place to meet 4 get my paper and recorder ready 5. have some back round info about where person is from 6.meet person at meeting place. 7. intorduce me self 8. sit down talk brefly 9. start interview 10. make sure not to ask certain questions 11. make sure to be polite 12. make sure to talk with them not at them. 13. end interview 14. say thank you 15. get possibale other names for next interview 16. listen to recorder and write what it says 17. type up ruff draft 18. get it looked at by peers and teacher 19 write fianl draft  20. post to blog.

A weird day

I woke up to my alarm, it was 6 am i was confused why am i up this early? Then i remembered i was leaving for a trip to canada. i jumped out of bed and started packin my stuff. I accedently knocked over my priceless statue from africa in all the excitment but i didnt care I grabed my wallet and my passport holder threw them in my pocket. Then i grabed my Flower blanket, some clothes, my toothbrush, my lucky chesnuts and threw them in my bag. I ran out of my room and headed down stairs. The other guys were runnin around gather up all there stuff. I yelled we gotta leave in ten hurry up! I went in the kitchen opened the fridge and as I opened it this little wooded head fell from inside the fridge and as it hit the floor i swear it yelled BEWARE! I ran out of the kitchen and up to my roommates room who happens to be a wtich doctor and i asked him if he had gotton and cureses or any thing put on him lately and he said that he broke his special glass jar that relesed a voodo witch doctor. I had figured something like that happed. so we quick ran to my room where i had my little gold disck and my special voodo square thing. we ran back the kitchin and started to do an anti voodo chant at the wood head. as we were doing that my friend matt came in and said what the heck is going on? as he came in the voodo head turned him into a little statue. we were shocked so i grabbed my ruler and started hitting the wood head with it. that didnt work so we ran out of the house. we grabbed our mini birtch canue and threw it in out truck and headed to cananda thats when things got real weird..............
